"East Coast Ghost Hunters" Debut New Shows At Penobscot Theater

3

Bangor - Since the Penobscot Theater Opened it's doors in 1920 -- then known as The Bangor Opera House -- it has welcome thousands of guests.

Some like it so much, they decided never to leave.

"There's a little girl that's named "Sandy" , we've got plenty of EBPs for her. She usually likes to appear when its crowded. She will blend in with the crowd," said Ghost Tracker Ken Ort.

One of his partners, Lisa Dauphine, says,"Its beautiful, I would. You can be anything you want to be."

"This is a historic Opera house, you know late 1800's. There is definitely some residual energy," said Brad LaBree, the Community Engagement Manager for the Penobscot Theater.

"This is the first place where I was actually physically touched by an entity," said Ghost Tracker Jaime Dube.

On Tuesday night the Brewer based "East Coast Ghost Trackers debuted two new episodes of their youtube based show in the theater.

They say that there is plenty of paranormal activity happening inside those walls.

"I thought it was the camera man, I turned around and the camera man was 10 feet away," said Dube.

"I've been touched. My hair has been pulled. I've heard voices that were normally not there," added their partner Holly Adkins.

One of her comrades Lisa Daphinee recalled one encounter, "And I got very, very cold. I felt a light sensation on the back of my hair."

It takes a unique person who wants to be a ghost tracker, someone like Peter Fararr who took a job with the trackers after working in TV news.

He says he couldn't be happier.

"Along with shooting the shows I am part of the shows so its kind of a back and forth deal".

When asked what attracted him to ghost tracking, Jamie Dube stated, "For me its just a charge. I get a high off it because its not the norm. It is paranormal and to see something with your own eyes in front of your face, it makes you question reality. To me that's why I do it."
