Bangor -
Nearly half of the people who work at the Garelick Farms plant in Bangor are losing their jobs.
Jamaison Schuler, spokesman for Dean Foods, which owns Garelick Farms, tells TV 5 approximately 35 positions will be eliminated in mid-January.
Distribution will continue in Bangor, but production will no longer take place at the plant.
A statement released by Dean Foods states the company will " evaluate our branded offerings to ensure we are beset positioned with customers and consumers in this important region of the country."
Employees tell us they were informed of the changes Tuesday afternoon.
