Bangor -
The Darling's Ice Cream for a Cause truck stopped in Bangor on Friday to raise money for Amanda Pooler.
The 27-year-old started having health problems about 7-months ago.
Doctors found a cyst growing in the center of her brain. They say surgery will make her better, but she needs $40,000 to help pay for it.
The ice cream truck gives out free treats, and encourages donations. All of the money raised on Friday, goes to Amanda for medical costs.
" It's kind of shocking I would say because I wouldn't really expect anybody to, ya know, to come out here. People that don't even know me, ya know, and don't really know much of anything about what I'm going through, ya know, helping. It means a lot and that's why I try to give everybody a pamphlet, ya know, just so they know why I'm here," said Pooler.
She is tentatively scheduled to have surgery next month.
There's a donation page that includes updates on Amanda.
You can find it here.
