Bangor -
The Eastern Area Agency on Aging hosted its Senior Health and Safety Fair Thursday.
The event took place at the Spectacular Event center in Bangor.
Around 300 seniors from the area took advantage of the free services including health screenings, medicare enrollment, even a fall-risk assessment.
They also offered education on home safety and fire prevention.
Organizers say it was a great way to get senior services under one roof.
"For seniors, they would have to go to a lot of different places to go to these events. They wouldn't necessarily be able to see the Old Town Fire Department do the hazard house or they would have to go to the doctor to get a flu shot or they'd have to come to our office to get a Medicare Part D plan. Here they can walk around Spectacular Event center and get a little bit of everything."
The event was introduced to Bangor last year.
