Pharmacy Robber Who Threatened Police With Chemical Weapons Appears in Court

3

Waterville - An Augusta man police say robbed a Rite Aid on North Belfast Avenue, then locked himself inside the bathroom when police arrived, was in court Wednesday via video conference.

19 year old Dylan Karczewski is charged with robbery, theft, and terrorizing.

A judge in Waterville ordered him held on $50,000.

According to police, Karczewski stole drugs from the pharmacy then locked himself in the bathroom, telling police he had chemical weapons and would use them if they came inside the bathroom.

Augusta Police waited about 30 minutes, then made their way in.

They did not find any chemical weapons in the bathroom or with Karczewski.
