Carol Higgins Taylor with Eastern Area Agency on Aging was in our studio to tell us about the upcoming Senior Health and Safety Fair.
The Fair is taking place Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Spectacular Event Center at 395 Griffin Rd. in Bangor. The fair runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Many things are being offered at this years fair including, Health screenings all day, enroll in a Medicare D plan, flu shot clinic, Fall-Risk assessment, and the Penobscot County Triad Drug Drop-Off Box will be at the event also.
The fair is free for everyone.
The Eastern Area Agency on Aging encourages anyone attending to bring a box of cereal, if possible. The cereal will be given to a local food pantry.
Make sure if your planning on attending the fair you get there early because the first 500 people will be receiving a free disaster preparedness starter kit.
