200 Maine children have been taken away from parents who used the synthetic drug bath salts this past year.
Human Services officials say the state has transferred a million dollars to the Office of Child and Family Services to help pay room and board for the children.
Officials say another 4.2 million dollars is needed to cover expenses for such children over the next two-and-a-half years.
