Bowling Strikes and Spares helped raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor on Sunday
The organization held its fourth annual Bowl-a-Thon at the Bangor/Brewer Bowling Lanes. A dozen teams showed up to raise money and have a little fun too.The Ronald McDonald House helps more than 500 families each year.
Families can stay at the House while their child is hospitalized or receiving outpatient medical treatment. Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor, Darlene McLeod, said "You can stay for free if you need at the Ronald McDonald House. We are totally privately funded, so every dollar counts for us and every dollar stays right here in Bangor."
The Director says she loves this event because it's different from a walk or a run, it's something the whole family can have fun doing. The Bowl-a-Thon raises about $3,000 for the house every year.
