Bangor's city manager has made her selection for a new fire chief.

" I am pleased to have been selected and to be taking on the role of leading the Bangor Fire Department. The Department has a strong and rich tradition of providing residents with outstanding fire and emergency medical services. I am looking forward to working with the Department, City Manager, and City Council and building on the efforts of those before me. My family and I are excited about moving to Bangor and becoming part of the community," said Scott Lucas.
Lucas is scheduled to begin his position with the Bangor Fire Department on December 3rd.
Former Chief Jeffery Cammack retired in February.
