Drug Agents: $6,300 Worth of Oxycodone found in Pants of Lubec Man

3

Hampden - Drug agents arrested a Lubec man on I-95 in Hampden.

It happened Wednesday.

Drug agents started surveillance on Sharley Fitzsimmons, 47, early Wednesday because they believed he was going to buy Oxycodone to sell in Washington County.

A State Police trooper pulled Fitzsimmons over on I-95. Drug agents reportedly found 127 tablets of Oxycodone hidden inside Fitzsimmons' pants.

According to a press release, the drugs have a retail street value of $6,300.

Fitzsimmons already has a felony drug conviction. He is now charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

His bail has been set at $100,000.

If he's convicted, he faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.

He's scheduled to be in court in late November.

Drug agents say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
