Bangor Salvation Army Holds Annual Auction

Bangor - An annual fundraiser in Bangor this weekend aims to help families throughout the area.

The Salvation Army is hosting its Harvest Auction this Saturday.

They'll be auctioning off more than a hundred items ranging from a weekend getaway to a trip to a local spa.

Capt. Tim Clark of the Salvation Army said the proceeds from the event make a big difference in people's lives.

"From our soup kitchen to providing food and clothing for families. We send children to camp in the summertime, we provide utilities assistance, heating oil assistance. There's a wide variety of services that we provide to the people of our community and this will help to fund that work," said Clark.

The night begins with a silent auction and dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by a live auction at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor.

Tickets are $10.00 per person. If you would like to reserve a spot, call 941-2990.
