Thomas Hill Standpipe Opens for Fall Tour

Bangor - A perfect afternoon for leaf peeping in Bangor Wednesday.

The Thomas Hill Standpipe was open for its fall foliage tour.

Wednesday was one of just four days a year the water tower is open to the public.

People turned out in droves in the afternoon and made the 100 step ascent to enjoy one of Bangor's best views.

"We could see my mom and dad's work from here."
"We could almost see our house."
"We've lived here our whole life and never done it before so its nice to see our whole city where we live."

The Standpipe will open again for its winter tour on Wednesday, March 14th.
