Annual Bangor Book Festival Begins Its Sixth Chapter Downtown

3

Bangor - Beginning Thursday, it will be all about books in downtown Bangor.

There will be more than 30 writers at the annual Bangor Book Festival which spreads out over the next few days.

Organizers say it's a way to bring together people who share the love of literature.

"I think it's nice to celebrate that. We're a city of readers and there are so many, someone once said you can't throw a stone in Bangor without hitting a writer. So, it's nice to get together the passionate readers with the passionate writers," said Barbara McDade, the BBF committee chair and director of the Bangor Public Library.
