Some sad news for fans of Buddy the wild turkey.
You may remember the story TV5 brought you earlier in October from Orrington.
A wild turkey had settled down in Molly Poole's yard.
It showed up in the spring, walking with a limp.
Once turkey hunting season started, Poole posted a large sign on her front yard, warning hunters about the injured bird.
Much to Poole's dismay, Buddy was shot by hunters Monday afternoon.
We're told it happened while Buddy was in a field across the street from Poole's house.
