Horse lovers around the state got to meet one very lucky horse on Saturday for Pet Appreciation Day.
Last Stop Horse Rescue was at Tractor Supply to celebrate the successful surgery of one their rescued horses, who's appropriately named, Lucky.
Lucky had been suffering from a rare bone cyst in her jaw, making it difficult for her to eat, but thanks to veterinarians in New York, Lucky had the life saving surgery she needed.
Lucky's supporters continue to be there every step of the way. Co-founder of Last Stop Horse Rescue, said she has a long journey ahead, but having a successful surgery was a miracle for lucky."
The organization raised money at the event to help with Lucky's follow up care.
