Students Sleep Outside To Fight Homelessness

3

Dexter - A group of local students are homeless, but just for one night.

Keyclubbers from Dexter, Greenville, Milo, Guilford, Nokomis, and Dover are sleeping outside to raise awareness for homelessness.

Its part of their "Welcome To My Home Campaign".

They are collecting food items, blankets, and tioletry items.

Even though the temperature is dropping, students say its worth bearing the cold.

"Kids just flock to this, they want to come out because it has become a tradition in our school and they just have a good time even though they come back every year saying how it was last year. They always come back," says Meredith Roderka of Dexter.

Each participant also raised $25 dollars for the cause.

Proceeds go to support The Shaw House, The Journey House, and Women Care.
