A Mars Hill man has been found guilty in connection with a car crash last year that killed a Medway man and seriously injured another relative.
William Barton was charged with two counts of Aggravated Operating Under the Influence causing death, and Aggravated Operating Under the Influence causing serious bodily injured.
Authorities say Barton was driving a pick up on September 3rd of last year, when he collided head on with a station wagon driven by 21-year old Jerome York. York's father and uncle were also in the car. His father, Nathan York died at the scene. His uncle, Herb Young was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A jury yesterday deadlocked on a third charge against Barton of possession of methamphetamine.
Barton is expected to be sentenced on October 31st.
