A former office clerk at a car dealership in Bangor is going to jail for stealing more than $200,000 from the company.
35-year-old Misty Beylerian of Hermon pleaded guilty Thursday to theft.
She was sentenced to a year-and-a-half in jail.
Beylerian worked at Quirk Auto Group in Bangor and admitted she stole $202,000 over a two-year-period, ending last November.
Penobscot County Deputy District Attorney Mike Roberts says Beylerian had access to the deposits and adjusted them to take cash for herself.
He says the money was spent on a variety of things but there's no indication Beylerian used it for drugs or gambling.
