Bucksport - A Bucksport pizza shop is getting into the business of helping others.

All this month, for every large pizza sold, the Bucksport House of Pizza will be donating one dollar to the Cancer Support Center of Maine.

Owner, Dino Kisamitakis, explained, "They need all the help they can get and all the support, and we're asking for support."

According to Barbara Vittum, the center's executive director, the money will be a huge boost, as they are trying to make life a little easier for Mainers fighting cancer.

Vittum said, "One thing we're working on is a transportation program to get people to their cancer treatments and their doctor appointments. With gasoline at $4.00 a gallon, nearing $4.00 a gallon, you can imagine some of these trips are 100 miles to get their treatments."

The center relies heavily on donations to fund their support and outreach programs.
