Governor LePage gets a 'D' on his environmental report card.
The group, Maine Conservation Voters, released its biennial gubernatorial report card on Monday.
Group members say they are disappointed with the governor's policy agenda and its impact on Maine's natural resources.
MCV has been issuing report cards on Maine governors since 2006.
The Governor responded by saying the scorecard deserves an 'I' for incomplete, irrelevant and inaccurate. He says his administration continues to protect Maine's environment and natural resources.

Nuclear waste clean-up delayed and billions over budget
Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington state is leaking 1,000 gallons of waste each year, and a project to clean it up has stalled

Now Bald Mountain is going to be removed for mining in an area surrounded by lakes. We knew that once the Natural Resource Committee was done contaminating the southern and central parts of our state they would be heading north. Don't blame the Governor for this one! Blame those people who for the sake of money are willing to sell out the health of Maine's environment.
Take pictures now people for war has been waged on the mountains of Maine! Complaints have been made about Quimby being willig to donate land for a National Park, but these same people are willing to blow up the environment leaving a toxic mess the citizens will be financially responsible to clean up. Something is desperately wrong with this reasoning.
And when these people who scream jobs above the environment are also those who will be screaming when the toxins affect their health and then they will feel betrayed when their government turns a blind eye.....
