Waterville -
In Waterville today, the Colby Mules hosting Middlebury in their home opener at Harold Alfond Stadium.
Colby going up 7-0 early, thanks to an early turnover by the Panthers. But Middlebury tying the game up late in the 1st quarter. McCallum Foote finds Zach Driscoll in the corner of the end zone to tie the game up at seven.
But Colby was in control of the game for much of the 1st half. In the 2nd quarter, Justin Ciero passes to the promiseland and finds Kyle Roth. Roth babbles it, but is able to come down with the 15-yard touchdown catch, putting the Mules up 13-7.
But this was the play that changed the game. Colby with a chance to go up 16-7 before halftime. With six seconds left in the 1st half, the field goal attempt is blocked, picked up by Joel Blockowicz, and he takes it 80 yards the other way for the touchdown.
Middlebury putting up 28 more unanswered points in the 2nd half and they beat Colby today, 42-13 the final.
