Cushing -
A Tenants Harbor man is charged with murder after authorities say he shot another man to death in Cushing Thursday night.
40-year old Andrew Kierstead was taken into custody after being questioned by detectives.
Police were called to Far Meadow Lane shortly before 8 p.m.
There, they found the homeowner, 48-year old Richard Mills, shot to death.
We're told Kierstead was taken to Pen Bay hospital in Rockport for evaluation. He was still being held there Friday morning.
A State Police spokesman says detectives worked through the night gathering evidence, processing the scene and conducting interview.
An autopsy on Mills' body is scheduled for Friday morning at the State Medical Examiner's office in Augusta.
