Newport/Pittsfield -
Police have arrested two people they say are responsible for three recent pharmacy robberies.
25-year-old Jonah Masse and 20-year-old Sydney Duff, both of Dixmont, were arrested after they were linked to the crimes.
Chief Macdaid of the Newport Police Department says the couple robbed the Newport Rite Aid earlier this month and once in August. He says they're also responsible for the attempted robbery in Pittsfield on Tuesday.
Both are charged with two counts of robbery for the Newport incidents. Additional charges are likely for the attempted robbery in Pittsfield.
Masse and Duff are being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Macdaid says they told police they weren't going to stop until they got caught.
