Allegiant Air Giveaway

3

Bangor - Free airline tickets prompted folks to head to Broadway in Bangor Thursday morning.

Allegiant Air was sponsoring the promotion, as part of its "Vote for Vacation" bus tour.

The first person arrived around 5 a.m., hoping to win two roundtrip tickets to anywhere Allegiant Air flies.

The first 100 people in line were given a coupon for $21.60, the amount they'd pay in federal taxes for round trip airfare.

Bangor was the last stop on the Allegiant Air campaign bus tour.

"We thought everyone needed a little bit of a break from the political campaign, so we decided to go on our own campaign," says Jessica Wheeler, spokeswoman for Allegiant Air. "This is the 'Vote for Vacation' campaign. Basically, we're just asking people to come out, vote for their favorite vacation destination, have a little bit of fun."

"It was just an easy sign up process," says Bob Bear, who came hoping to win free airline tickets. "And then they have free games to give away prizes."

Allegiant Air is also giving away one grand prize- free flights on their airlines for four years.

The drawing doesn't take place until next week, so you can still enter to win. Just log onto Your text to link...vote 4, that's the number four, vacation dot com.

My family loves Allegiant, for the none stop flight. Our daughter has come to Florida two times a winter to see us and loves the convenience of the straight flight. this passed spring we flew our granddaughter and great grand son down also, he is three and that was his third time flying with Allegiant. He wants to come this winter also and go to Busch Gardens and see the animals, his favorite place.
