Bangor -
Host Families for the 8th Annual Kitchen Tour met in Bangor on Wednesday night.
The evening gave homeowners a chance to meet their respective kitchen tour hostesses.
On October 13th the 7 host families will open their doors to visitors, giving them a glance inside their unique kitchens.
One of the homes was originally built in 1857.
One of the homeowners -- Jody Bourassa -- says ,"We own one of the historical homes here in Bangor and have spent the last three years renovating it and we wanted to be able to share it with the community. I know a lot of people who were concerned about it and we are just pleased with the way it has turned out and we love our home."
Proceeds from the event will benefit the pediatric oncology and hematology services at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
