Augusta Man Sentenced to Five Years in Prison Facing More Charges

Augusta - An Augusta man will spend the next five years in prison for robbing two pharmacies in February.

Carmine Fazzi was sentenced Tuesday morning in Augusta.

Fazzi admitted to robbing the CVS on Stone Street and the Rite-Aid on North Belfast Ave in Augusta in February.

District Attorney Alan Kelley says Fazzi still has more legal trouble to deal with.

"Mr. Fazzi reportedly committed a second robbery after he fled the state of Maine in the state of New Hampshire. He and his attorney have reportedly been in negotiations with the state of New Hampshire which we obviously have no control over."

Fazzi accepted a longer sentence in Maine in hopes that New Hampshire prosecutors would run his sentence in that state concurrently with the time he serves here.
