Bangor -
The Bangor City Council has been discussing how they might be able to reinvent pickering square. One option that's come up is moving the hub for the Bat Bus somewhere else.
Bus Superintendent Joe McNeil says ridership has simply outgrown its current location in the square. The first step is approving a study that would be funded through a Department of Transportation Planning Grant.
"We're going to have somebody come in and do a comprehensive look at what we're doing, how well we do it, what different locations might be better for us," said McNeil.
The goal is to find a location that will benefit the future of downtown Bangor as well as the bus system.
