Motorcycle and Antique Car Ride to Benefit New Hope Hospice

3

Eddington/Dedham - Motorcycles and antique cars took a 100-mile ride on Sunday all to benefit New Hope Hospice in Eddington.

They rode from Eddington to Franklin, back through Ellsworth and ended in Dedham.

Riders registration fees will go toward helping hospice patients get the help they need.

"What they're doing here is they're raising funds to supplement the things that Medicare mandates, but doesn't pay for. This fundraiser will supply them with a lot of what they need to help the patients," said Rick Lyon, a rider himself who helped organize the event.

This is the first year they've held the fundraiser. They hope to make it an annual event.

What a great event for a cause. It would be nice to participate in something like this in our city. I also hope that this will turn out to be an annual event.
