Brewer High School Celebrates National Peace Day

3

Brewer - If you drive by Brewer High School this weekend, a display on its front lawn might catch your eye, and that's exactly what students hope it will do.

On Friday, they placed dozens of pinwheels outside to grab the attention of folks passing by.

The pinwheels are a symbol of peace to celebrate National Peace Day.

"I hope people driving by kind of wonder what it is and try to figure it out and maybe look up what a big row of pinwheels is doing at our school and discover that it's National Peace Day, so they can really appreciate it," said Morgan Forrest, junior at Brewer High School.

Junior Haley Williams added, "Maybe inspire them to do something in their own way for peace."
