Bar Harbor -
Cancer patients and their family members gathered in Bar Harbor on Friday.
For the sixth year, the American Cancer Society hosted its Downeast Living With Cancer Conference.
It's a chance for those who are battling cancer to learn more about what resources are out there for them and what to expect.
They also got the chance to hear from cancer survivors who know exactly what they're going through.
"I hope that they realize that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, they can feel good again, they can feel great again," said Maureen Greene, a breast cancer survivor.
Cheryl Tucker of the American Cancer Society said, "We really hope that people take away from this day, just comfort, support, know you're not alone on your cancer journey."
