Walk-a-thon for Dyslexia in Bangor City Forest this Sunday

Bangor - A Walk-a-thon to benefit dyslexia will step off Sunday at the Bangor City Forest.

The Children's Dyslexia Center offers tutoring free of charge.

It's supported by the Bangor Masonic Center.

John Bapst student Mandy Richard struggled with dyslexia until she got help from the center.

Mandy and her mom hope more people can become aware of the signs.

"There's so many people that have it that don't realize that they do. So, I think that if you're having trouble, to just, like, talk to someone else about it, and reach out and allow other people to help you, and just get help."

If you would like to take part in the walk-a-thon, head over to the Bangor City Forest at 1:00 Sunday afternoon.

The walk will take place rain or shine.

Registration is fifteen dollars.
