Big Rig Rolls Over in Lobster Township

Northern Maine - A truck driver from Sebec was taken to the hospital after his big rig rolled over in Lobster Township.

Two men driving on the Salmon Road saw the overturned truck around 1:30 Monday morning, and called for help once they were able to find cell phone reception.

State police say it appears the driver was headed south towards the Golden Road when he missed a curve.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was trapped in his cab until Greenville fire fighters were able to remove him.

He was conscious and alert, according to the trooper on the scene.

Life flight helicopter was called to the scene, but the chopper was unable to land due to the conditions, according to authorities.

He was taken to a hospital in Millinocket complaining of pain in his neck and back. There appeared to be cuts to his face also, according to the state police trooper.

The crash is still under investigation.
