Annual Shriner Parade Brings Clowning Around to Downtown Bangor

3

Bangor - The Anah Shrine Parade took over downtown Bangor Saturday.

Over fifteen Shrine temples from across the northeast and Canada participated. There was a lot of clowning around, jokes, balloons, and of course, your typical Shriner antics.

The Shriners are glad to get together once a year to please the crowd. They love to renew old friendships and raise money for kids.

Organizers were very pleased with today's large turnout.

Potentate from the Bangor Anah Shriners,Tony Bowers, said "I couldn't be happier with all the people and the shriners are here and all the hugs we give back and forth and helping everybody."

Next year the Shriners will take their annual parade to Canada.
