Bald Eagle Released Two Weeks after Rescue

Freedom - An injured bald eagle found at a Central Maine Power Substation in Newcastle has been released back into the wild.

The eagle was discovered in June. It was unable to fly.

The bird was taken to Avian Haven in Freedom, where it took weeks to rehabilitate its broken wing.

The eagle was released two weeks ago at the Damariscotta River Association's Great Salt Bay Farm.
