Bangor -
The state medical licensure board has suspended the license of a Bangor neurologist and reprimanded a second doctor, who also practices in Bangor.
Along with a one-month license suspension, Doctor James Iannazzi accepted a reprimand, a fine and will be on probation for five years when he starts seeing patients again.
Iannazzi admitted he had an intimate relationship with a patient.
The patient also told the board the relationship was physical and included one instance in the doctor's office where the insurance company was billed for medical services.
The Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine reprimanded Doctor Kevin Miller for inappropriately prescribing controlled drugs to patients, including allowing early refills.
Miller agreed to stop prescribing drugs for chronic pain, unless the patient is in a medical facility or has cancer that's spread throughout the body.
