Burlington Man Convicted of Two Killings Appeals Case

Burlington, Webster Plantation - A man from Burlington convicted of killing two people in Webster Plantation appealed his case before the state Supreme Judicial Court Wednesday.

34-year-old Nathanael Nightingale was found guilty of murder and manslaughter in the 2009 shooting deaths of Valerie and Mike Miller.

He's serving 40 years in prison.

His lawyers argued that Nightingale should have been able to suppress some of the statements he made when he was questioned by police, as well as physical evidence that was found as a result of the interrogations.

Nightingale claims his right against self-incrimination was violated and he confessed to police before they read him his Miranda rights.
