Bobbie Fowler from the Old Town Animal Orphanage was in to tell us about an upcoming fundraiser for the shelter.
The Orphanage will be holding it's annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, September 30th, 2012.
The blessing will start at 12:00 p.m. Rain or shine at the Herbert Sargent Community Center on the Bennoch Rd. in Stillwater.
All animals are welcome as long as they are under physical control (leash, harness, bridle, or crate) and safe to be around other animals and people. If your animal can not be present at the blessing you can bring an something with you that represents your pet to be blessed on their behalf.
Immediately following the Blessing of the Animals is a Fun Dog Show.
The dog show goes from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. rain or shine.
You can enter your dog in any of the following categories for a fee of $1 per each event. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded with ribbons. All first place winners are eligible to win the special "Best of Show" Ribbon.

Best Family Pet
Cutest Puppy (six months or under)\
Oldest Dog
Best Handshake

Cutest Mutt
Best Looking Purebreed
