Independent Angus King Unveils First Television Advertising

Independent Senate candidate Angus King is ready to hit the airwaves.

King plans to unveil his first television advertising at his headquarters on Friday, just days after Republican Charlie Summers launched his first TV ads.

King has been battered on TV by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which dubbed him "king of spending," and by a Super PAC that urged Democrats to vote for Cynthia Dill over King.

King, Summers and Dill, along with three additional independents, are vying for the seat that'll soon be vacated by Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe.
