Corinna, Etna-Dixmont, Hartland, Newport, St. Albans -
School officials in RSU 19 are waiting for a final auditor's report to determine how big of a budget gap the district is facing.
Superintendent Gregory Potter has previously said it's at least $1.9 million .
RSU 19 covers schools in the Newport, Etna-Dixmont and St. Albans area.
Auditors will finish up their work this week, but it could be several weeks before the final numbers are in.
Potter says the budget committee will meet next week to figure out a way to close that gap.
He says he expects by then have good idea of what kind of a shortfall they need to cover.
The budget committee meeting is Tuesday, September 11th at 6:30 p.m.
It's a Nokomis High School in Newport.
The meeting is a work session, but it is open to the public.
Potter says he's pushing for a long-term loan to fill the financial void.
