Owls Head -
Classic cars were up for auction in Owls Head Saturday.
The Owls Head Transportation Museum held it's 35th Annual New England Auto Auction. This is the largest fundraiser for the museum, which they say brings in about $250,000 every year.
The nice weather Saturday brought out a big crowd, who got to see and possibly big on a history of automobiles.
Publics Relations Director for Owls Head, Parks Morrison, said, "A variety of vehicles with everything from a 1916 flat bed truck to a 2001 BMW Z3 sports car, and a little bit of everything in between"
Morrison says this event is also about educating the public on the history of the automobile. Over 180 cars were up for auction and all of that money will go back to the museum.
