Bangor -
A report of a stolen vehicle in Bangor turned into a high speed chase on I95 Friday afternoon.
Bangor Police say a woman was sitting in a parking lot on Harlow Street in Bangor when 31 year old Brian Swett came up to her window and told her to get out.
Police say Swett told the woman "This is a stick-up."
She got out of the car and Swett drove off.
The woman's small dog was still in the car.
A short time later, State Police spotted the vehicle and began chasing it.
That chase ended when the suspect crashed the vehicle.
State Police closed the Hogan Road South bound ramp for a little while after that crash.
We're told the victim's dog was OK and returned to the owner.
Swett is in the Penobscot County Jail as of Friday night.
He has been charged by Bangor Police with robbery, theft, and operating without a license.
More charges could be filed by State Police.
