New Wing At EMCC Provides For Growing Student Population

3

Bangor - Eastern Maine Community College opened up its doors Wednesday night to show off its' new student success wing.

This is only phase one of the wing, which is located in the Maine Hall on the Bangor campus.

The room features state of the art technology and it can actually be divided into four separate rooms to create different classrooms.

With enrollment on the rise EMCC president, Lawrence Barrett, says this new addition was needed.

President Barrett goes on to say "Our dorms are full, our classes are full, so this gives us an opportunity to continue our growth and we really need to grow because we need to serve the needs of this community."

Phase two of the project will be finished in May.
