A local thrift store is looking to the community for help...
The Hands of Hope Thrift store in Bangor is hoping anyone with extra clothing will consider dropping by the store.
They have racks filled in the store, but they have very little back-up inventory.
Hands of Hope Director Kathy Harvey tells us this is the lowest they've been in ten years.
They're concerned that families back to school shopping may run into a lack of inventory.
"It's really important to have the back-up stock, because if you don't have it right now with the back-to-school months coming, our shelves could be empty, our racks could be empty in seven to eight days. So, if we don't get a turn-around, then we don't have the clothing to put back out for the people for back-to-school shopping," said Harvey.
If you have any denim to bring out, they're offering to pay one to two dollars for each pair of jeans.
You can drop items off anytime during store hours.
You can bring them to the front or back entrances of the store located by K-Mart on Hogan Road in Bangor.
