Two Men Charged With Robbing Waterville Rite Aid

Two men are in custody and police are still investigating a robbery at the Rite Aid pharmacy on Main Street in Waterville.
Police said the robbery happened around 9:00 this morning. Two men who were seen running from the area were arrested on Pleasant Street, just around the corner from the scene of the crime.
Those two men, who have not been identified, sat handcuffed for more than 30 minutes before being taken into custody. Both men are being forrmally charged at this hour according to Waterville Deputy Police Chief Charles Rumsey.
The Waterville Police Department are being assisted in the investigation by a K-9 Unit from the Kennebec County Sheriff's Department.
No other details are available at this time.
This is the third Maine pharmacy robbed this week as the total for the year nears 40. There were only 28 all of last year.
