And the B52 Ejection Seat Belongs to.....

3

Greenville - The mystery of an ejected seat found at the site of a B52 crash on Elephant Mountain near Greenville is closer to being solved.

The bomber crashed in 1963, while on a training mission.

Two of the nine crew members survived the crash, including the pilot.

As it turns out, he was the one sitting in the recovered seat, according to Pete Pratt, who has spent years preserving the crash site.

He tells TV-5 after talking with the pilot, and comparing notes to damage done to the ejection seat, he's fairly certain it belonged to the person at the controls.

A maine forest ranger found the seat last fall while on a hunting trip.

It now sits at a museum in Greenville.
