A hiker was lifeflighted after a fall in Acadia National Park Saturday.
Acadia Search and Rescue Ranger, Ed Pontbriand, said Kevin Hills, 22, from Kittery fell after free climbing in an area between Sand Beach and Thunder Hole, called "Old Soaker" around noon.
Officials say he fell 50 feet into the water.He was conscious and complaining of head and back injuries.
Rangers and paramedics repelled down to the area where he was lying and got him up to a dry area, where he was taken by ambulance to Bar Harbor Baseball Fields. He was then lifeflighted to Easter Maine Medical Center.
