Union Street Accident Sends Four People to EMMC


Hermon - A three car accident in Hermon sent four people to the hospital.

The collision happened around 1:00 pm on Saturday on Union Street.

Police say 21-year-old Nicholas Mitchell of Levant rear-ended 55-year-old Melissa Savage of Bangor, 64 year old David Nelson of Exeter and 52 year old Joan DiNatale were also involved. All four were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Sgt. Bill Birch from Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said he was unsure of all their conditions, but one of them seems to be in serious condition on the way to the hospital.

The accident closed Union Street for traffic between Billings Road and Bond Road until about 6:30 pm.
