Mount Vernon Man Indicted on More Than 50 Counts of Fish & Wildlife Related Crimes


A man from Mount Vernon has been indicted by the Kennebec Grand Jury on more than 50 counts of fish and wildlife related crimes, according to the Maine Warden Service.

38-year-old Joseph Deleskey is facing numerous charges including night hunting, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, criminal trespass, hunting deer after having killed one, driving deer and possessing loaded firearms in motor vehicles.

The indictment was the result of an 18 month investigation into the illegal hunting activity of Deleskey and his associates.

Several of those associates are also facing charges.
