Skowhegan -
Two people were sent to a hospital after a car and pulp truck collided on Rt. 2 in Skowhegan Friday.
Skowhegan police say traffic had stopped along Rt. 2 and the driver of the pulp truck, 45-year-old George Lorette, couldn't stop in time, crossed the center line and hit a car.
Police say the driver of the car and his passenger were taken to a hospital with injuries that are non-life threatening.
Authorities are trying to figure out what caused the truck's brakes to fail.
