Warren, Thomaston - A man from Warren found with $170,000 worth of bath salts in his possession is going to prison for a little more than 5 years.

26-year-old Travis Griffin was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Bangor.

He pleaded guilty in April.

Police say he took part in a major bath salts ring in Knox County and was arrest twice last fall.

Authorities say in November they found bath salts hidden in a video game console that was stashed in a car Griffin was riding in.

Two other people were arrested then, too.

In December state drug agents searched a vacant home Griffin owns in Thomaston.

That's where they say they seized two-and-a-half pounds of bath salts.

Court clerks say his alleged co-conspirators are not facing federal charges at this point.
